Hoops IQ is a free NBA stats and games site made for fun by a group of friends. This page explains what we keep about you.
Your favorite team and players, settings, card collection and Daily Picks are saved only in your own browser (cookies and local storage). We don't see them.
If you sign in (with email and password, or with Google), we keep your email address, the username and picture you choose, your favorites, card collection, Daily Picks and playoff bets, so they follow you to every device. From Google we only receive your name, email address and profile picture; we never see your Google password.
Your username, picture, cards, picks and bets can be seen by other users (that's how friends compete). Your email address is never shown to anyone.
Accounts are stored with Supabase (in Frankfurt, Germany) and the site runs on Vercel. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't show ads.
To learn which pages and games people use, we count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you: we only see totals, like how many visits a page got and from which countries.
To make the site better, it also notes which pages you open, how long you stay, which buttons you tap (never what you type) and errors in your browser. If you're signed in, that's saved with your account; if not, without a name. Only the site owner sees it, and it's deleted after 30 days.
Want your account and everything in it deleted? Ask the site owner and we'll delete it.
